Join the fun and celebrate your connection to the Black River! Pick a stream, river segment, pond, lake or wetland to "adopt," keep your section clear of trash (but please leave tree branches and natural 'debris' in place), and pick another fun project to do. From nature journaling to water sampling, wildlife monitoring to culvert counting, there's no end to the activities you can pick for your adopted section. Pick a different activity each year, or stay on task to collect important data that can be used to keep tabs on the health of the water.

Each adopted area will be included in an online, interactive map of the watershed, with photos and an optional link to your organization or business.
