Riverside Middle School was opened in 1956. The first principal, Mr. John Barry, of Bellows Falls, VT, supported a staff known for compassion, understanding, and exceptional educational experience. These standards have not changed to this day, and RMS's wonderful staff sets an amazing example for the rest of the district on what colleagueship is all about.
